Nov 7, 2001 (CIDRAP News) – As part of its response to the recent anthrax attacks, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is holding daily media briefings on its anthrax investigation and related activities and posting transcripts of the briefings on its Web site.

The telephone press conferences will be held each weekday through the end of November from noon until 12:45 p.m. eastern time, according to announcements on the CDC Web site. Transcripts of the briefings are usually posted on the site about a day later. The briefings feature senior officials such as CDC Director Jeffrey Koplan, MD.
